The starter package is not only for those who are starting out, but it is also the starting piece our packages are supported with. It is not desirable or practical for each VPS or Enterprise environment to run its own DNS or Mailserver. So to that end, as well as to provide a flexible staging and QA platform, we utilize the cPanel hosting platform.

The Starter cPanel package is powerful enough to handle large complex applications such as NextCloud, Zurmo, or any of a near infinite available in open source repositories and tools like Softalicious (our 1-Click install tool). We do not recommend this package for high volume sites, instead of trying to move those to a VPS. This is to keep the best performance for all users and to absorb unexpected traffic. The rough soft limit we target is projected under 25,000 visitors per month on the Starter package, above that, we start deploying a VPS.

cPanel includes all the features you need to run a traditional PHP site, along with the FTP, IMAP, POP, SMTP, DNS, DKIM, and so so so many other TLA/FLA combinations. This server is fully managed and performance is guaranteed. We try to make this configuration fit most use cases, but due to that compatibility and wide use, we are more limited in our execution. Reboots and updates are scheduled, workloads monitored, and user configurable options limited.

Registration Process

To get started on a Starter package visit our website and pick a new domain name, or enter the domain you want to transfer. If you are not sure what domain you are going to use you can scroll down our front page and click directly on Order Hosting. We can attach a temporary domain later.

Once you have picked your domain and added it to the cart, you need to add hosting. You should have an option to do this during the domain configuration.  At this point click Order Now under the Starter Package and use the domain already in your shopping cart. If you went straight to Order Now you can pick an existing domain that you own and will update the nameservers for, or you can use a custom Decibite subdomain. We offer two subdomain host URL's, and - I think they are pretty cool.

On the next page, you are shown a few options, along with the plan specs. You can pick monthly or annual billing (annual includes domain registration fee), what type of support level you are looking for, or add a premium GSuite account to your package. When you have everything picked out to continue on to the payment page.

Review the items in your cart, it should include a domain if selected and the hosting in either annual or monthly form, and any add-ons you selected. You will see applicable taxes, the final total today, and the recurring fee with its term. Add any promotional codes you may have and scroll down to login or create a Decibite account. You can then pick Credit Card, PayPal, or Invoice. Credit Card and Pay Pal have instant activation where with Invoice we will contact you to arrange alternative arrangements. If you are using a 100% off promotion code you can use the Invoice payment option to circumvent any payment details on registration.
